Agreement
By creating an account or using ResX (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice.
Description of service
ResX is an AI-powered resume and cover letter platform. You maintain one master career profile, paste job descriptions, and the Service generates tailored resumes and cover letters using third-party AI models (currently OpenAI). Generated documents are stored in your account with version history and organized by company and job title.
Account and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You may sign in using email magic links or supported OAuth providers (Google, Apple, LinkedIn).
Subscription and billing
ResX offers a paid Pro plan at $20/month with a 7-day trial. Payment details are collected at the start of the trial. Your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. Billing is handled through Stripe.
Your content
You retain ownership of all content you provide to the Service, including profile data, job descriptions, and any uploaded resumes. You grant ResX a limited license to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. Generated resumes and cover letters are derived from your content and belong to you.
AI-generated content
Resumes and cover letters are generated using third-party AI models. While the Service is designed to produce accurate, role-relevant output based on your profile, AI-generated content may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing all generated documents before use. ResX does not guarantee that generated content will secure interviews or employment.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to generate fraudulent, misleading, or fabricated credentials
- Automate or script bulk generation beyond normal interactive use
- Attempt to access other users' data or circumvent access controls
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI prompts or system architecture
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abuse patterns.
Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on third-party infrastructure including Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, and OpenAI. We are not liable for downtime or degraded performance caused by third-party providers.
Data and privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described there.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResX and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost employment opportunities, data loss, or business interruption.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your stored data will be deleted in accordance with our data retention practices.
Changes to terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
